What part of the Adelaide Hills is classed as Little Italy? I notice that it occurs in a few route maps.

I haven't been there myself (waiting for a dry Tuesday morning!), but I'm told you turn right on Pound Rd (off Marble Hill Rd when heading towards Marble Hill) - apparently steep and great scenery.

Go down Pound Rd (which becomes Knotts Hill Rd) and turn right at the bottom (just before the end of Knotts Hill Rd) into Burdetts Rd. Burdetts Rd (which goes up to the Basket Range CFS shed on the corner of Lobethal Rd) is the climb known as 'lil Italy. Enjoy in moderation.

It appears to be about 7%, plus you can see Marble Hill tower so do not need a GPS.

My curiousity is aroused. I'm sure anywhere around there is going to be scenic and hilly. Pound Road is one of those "I wonder where that goes" roads for me.
I'll have to check it out.

Pound Rd and Lil Italy can get greasy in the wet... Wait until the summer so you can really enjoy the few degrees cooler it is down in that valley.
