G'day all

New to the forum and looking forward to learning more about road riding from the experts and finding out why my body doesn't always work the way I want it to, when I want it. Based in Whittlesea, Victoria, most of my riding is around the nearby hills. I just need to get past being old, overweight and unfit. I intend to change at least 2 of those impediments soon. Still stoked about my recent Bright/Tawonga Gap/Rosewhite/Ovens/Bright circuit of 5 hrs in cold, blustery conditions. Definitely improvable.

Can anyone tell me what the gradient is for the first part of the Kinglake climb on the Yea Rd. starting at Toururrong reservoir? I used to always take the Humevale chicken track when riding out to Kinglake, but from now on its up the front or die in the attempt.

Cheers
Oliver

Your best way to find out this might be to map your course on a website like mapmyride or bikely
These usually show the gradient (and if you only map the climb it gives greater detail of changes in gradient)
